Major Shift In Cable News Coverage After 2012 Election Cycle
The Cable TV Industry has gotten plenty of gifts from the government. It has been lobbying to establish barriers to its business model for far over a long time. This is why these businesses are soaking the American citizens for massive amounts of cash every day. Television was once freeand was paid for by advertisements. Nowadays, you'll still get the advertising, but now you must pay huge amounts of money, and majority of shows and programs are reruns. Many people believe they need cable TV to stay up on news. Nevertheless, I would submit your opinion that the news on cable television has done little more than slammed down the American citizens, and they are not keeping their word. The news just isn't that great. Let's discuss this shall we? In the three-day weekend and the next weekend actually following the election on November 6, there was a news media leaving out a lot of global news and playing reruns and special programming. They played the identical clips, interviews and specials over and over time and again, almost every hour, but none of them mentioned Middle East issues, major Earthquakes, or other incidents. Or is the cable television news media a bare shell with no advertising money being paid out to support the presidential election They can't afford to keep all of the journalists covering the news across the globe working to report the news. It's an alarming thought and I've noticed that after the election there are fewer journalists on the scene in Washington DC following up on the stories. The only stories they follow up on are what is the most popular among the paparazzi driven mindset of the American people. Worse, all of the cable TV news stations all follow the same news stories and a skip everything else. I'm convinced that the news is becoming a bit useless. They only provide us with what we want to hear, set beautiful graphics on their screens, and show us a few arguments, and then cut out everyone in the middle of their sentences, and then take a hard break; another commercial. While the cable firms increase the volume commercials, so that you can't even hear yourself think. I'm not a conspiracy nut however there is something going on ; this doesn't seem right. If cable TV channels cannot do better than this with their news I don't think that the American people require them any more. Let competition come in to the scene, and let the market decide, which could also allow the prices to come down - because for the quality of what they're offering, it's is totally outrageous for me. And it's just my opinion. keeping it. I do hope that you please consider all this and consider the issue.
